Stadthotel Stern - Wismar

We loved the central location of this hotel, it was right in the heart of the historical town. Everything we wanted to see and do was within walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist us with any requests or questions we had. The room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed for a luxurious stay. The bathroom was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated the complimentary bottle of water that was provided every day. This place truly enhanced our comfort and provided us with a high quality of service.

We highly recommend this hotel to others.

Friendly staff, helpful receptionist popped out to us to help with the slightly circuitous route to the car park at the rear - recommend getting the info in advance! Room spacious and comfortable, good bathroom, and the hotel has a traditional restaurant. Nice breakfast choices including home-cured salmon. Note that there is no aircon so you may want windows open throughout, which means some passer-by noise for rooms overlooking the main street (we were there when Germany was playing in Euro2012!) and church bells - very atmospheric! Ask for a quiet room at the side if this is likely to be a problem. Very good location, handy for key sights in a lovely town.

Members of staff were courteous and welcoming. The hotel has been recently refurbished and the staff are obviously working hard to keep the rooms and public spaces looking immaculate and attractive. Our accommodation was spacious with a first rate shower The restaurant has beautifully set tables. At breakfast there was a wide choice of delicious hot and cold food. Coffee good and hot. We had dinner at the hotel for four of the five nights of our stay, excellent quality and value; with the small complementary starter there was room for a dessert. Wine reasonably priced. Guests were provided with a daily print out of the day's weather and events in the town. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

We had to ask for toiletries (including paper) to be replenished.

Right in the city center with easy access to all attractions. Clean and well-maintained hotel facilities with ample parking. Delicious and plentiful breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Enjoyed the hospitality and even though we cannot speak german, Laura from reception came and did translations for us. I jokingly asked for an English paper and the next morning I had one We all had a fun time. Anne was most helpful when we had trouble with our laptop The staff were wonderful despite the lanuage problem. The best breakfast ever.

It is a premium hotel and have cable tv. No english channels, Not good for International travellers

Not all personel knew English. Daily cleaning started too early, about 9.20 am.

This hotel is located in the heart of the city, conveniently next to the main shopping street and market square. the room is spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of electric sockets. the bathroom is modern and clean with good water pressure. the staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is plentiful with fresh food and drinks.

Limited parking spots may cause problems for those traveling by car.

Celebrating the New Year at this hotel was amazing! the room was spacious and very comfortable, offering an excellent city view and a cozy bed. Location wise, you will be in the center of the historic town where there are many shops, restaurants, and tourist attractions within walking distance. the staff was very friendly and always willing to help. the breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of food to choose from.

If you are traveling by car, you might have some issues. There is no parking available at the hotel, which was a bit of a hassle.

Good location in centre of Old City, taxi or 10 min walk from main train station. Close to restaurants and shopping. Clean modern facilities, good sized room & bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful, majority have good English language skills. Excellent hotel, good value for money.

No air cond, but can open windows at night, no problems as on a quiet street. Construction work currently happening next door, so noisy during the day if windows open.

Right beside the hotel there was a noisy construction work that woke us up very early in the morning. Parking was inconvenient close and around the hotel.

Our family spend two weeks travelling through Germany; staying in five different hotels. This was easily the best. Great location, beautiful town, wonderful staff, clean, family friendly and relaxing. Also very good value for money for a four star hotel. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is very quiet, very clean and the staff very friendly. The position in the middle of the town is excellent.

The promised Parking lot is not existing. Will maybe come later.
